Practitioner Stories

People train to become Hellerwork S.I. Practitioners from all sorts of life experiences, from all walks of life, and from every age group. For most people, when they feel the inspiration that Hellerwork brings to their lives, it is hard for them to turn away. The desire to want more and to know more propels them to seek training in the same technique that brought about so many personal changes and opportunities for personal growth for themselves.

Some people train to become a Hellerwork S.I. Practitioner to expand their professional skills as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Chiropractor, Medical professional, or Massage Therapist. The foundational skills that are part of the Hellerwork process help to enhance the healing process and can bring about significant and permanent change for patients or clients who are under the care of these professionals.

Others come to us because of a personal healing or life journey. Stories of being relieved of pain or the effects of a chronic condition are commonplace among people who train for a career in Hellerwork. Many are deeply inspired by the level of personal growth they experience as they are brought into greater alignment with their lives through the body, mind and spirit. They eagerly embrace the chance to bring that same experience into the lives of their clients.

We welcome you to read about the following Hellerwork Practitioners who came to us in all sorts of ways, and at various stages in their lives and personal development. Each story is an inspiration that can bring you a glimpse into what it takes to make the decision to become a Hellerwork Practitioner.

Jake Schultz's Story

Jake's inspiring story is one of healing. Jake found Hellerwork as he was searching for a technique that would help him eliminate the pain of a herniated disc in his low back. After exploring several other techniques with limited or short-term results, he found Hellerwork and freedom from his long-term low back pain. Now, Jake brings the same kind of relief to his clients through the Hellerwork process.

Ruth Backway, P.T.'s Story

Ruth first heard about Hellerwork when she met one of Hellerwork's most talented teachers at a continuing education workshop. On his recommendation, Ruth decided to try a few sessions of Hellerwork to see if it would be the key to relief from long-standing shoulder and knee pain. After seeing significant and surprising results after only three sessions, Ruth decided that studying Hellerwork would be a significant improvement in the skills she could bring to her physical therapy patients.

Michael Kastris' Story

After years of working as a Captain in a Las Vegas restaurant for most of his career, Michael decided it was time to learn something new to do with his life, something that would rock his world. Because he remembered how wonderful his experience had been when he received a series of Structural Integration sessions many years before, Michael decided to research the major SI schools to evaluate their programs. Michael decided that Hellerwork represented the best and most comprehensive training that would fully prepare him for this new phase of his life.

Anita Boser's Story

Anita Boser, a wife and working Mom, found that Hellerwork helped her overcome a long-standing and troublesome back problem. As she received the Hellerwork series, she became greatly inspired by the work and realized that a career in Hellerwork could bring her a less stressful lifestyle and a life of fulfillment and promise.

Keri Yamamoto, O.T.'s Story

When Keri took a Myofascial Release class taught by a Hellerwork Practitioner, she immediately realized that this practitioner could "see" the body in a different and more complete way than Keri had ever known before. She was intrigued. Then, after becoming ill with a condition that left her body stiff and misaligned, she turned to Hellerwork to find relief from her condition. What she experienced was so much more holistic and self-affirming that she decided the Hellerwork training was a personal journey worth taking.
